To compile a good tender response is to directly answer the questions.
It is common for organisations to collate long, drawn-out answers that go off on a tangent. This takes the focus off the client’s requirements, transforming the response document into more of a broad marketing brochure.
Keeping responses succinct can be challenging when there is so much to say. The trick is to balance what needs to be in the main content, and what can be included as an appendix – if indeed the client appears interested in further information.
