THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORDS
Hi! I’m Susan Waterer, Director at
Waterer Communications.
I don’t particularly enjoy writing about myself, but I think it’s important for you to know a little about the person with whom you’ll be working.
So here we go!
If you’ve spoken with me, you’ve probably spotted the English accent. I ventured from the UK to Australia in 2003 and proudly became an Australian citizen in 2008. Much as I miss my friends and family in the UK, Australia is now my home.
I studied Communications Studies at college, and then at university I completed a Media and PR degree, with Honours status.
I started working in the field of communications, marketing and events in 2003, and have never looked back. I understand the importance of communications and realise the value of delivering messages the right way, at the right time.
I consider myself to be a good ‘people reader’ and place people at the centre of all I do. This helps with understanding my clients and their objectives.
I’m also a social person, and enjoy building connections, establishing networks, and forming friendships; a very useful ‘hobby’ in the world of comms!
I have no children and no pets, but envisage myself one day living in the country with goats.
I look forward to hopefully working with you and putting my words into action, helping you achieve your communications goals.
